Our history

Catasauqua Scrap Yard has been a family business for three generations.

1956 · First generation
Michael Ilko
After serving in the Army in France during World War II, Michael Ilko opened the yard and ran it for many years.
1977 · Second generation
Timothy Proctor
Michael's son-in-law, Timothy Proctor, took over and ran the yard for the next three decades. Timothy served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
2007 · Third generation
Sean Proctor
Timothy's son, Sean Proctor, took over running the yard full time in 2007 and is its sole owner today.

Through all three generations, we've prided ourselves on friendly service and a helpful staff, and we strive to make every visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
